Forteno is a discount supermarket chain founded in Juliana in 1991. Forteno is present in Granovia since 2001. The original Forteno store was located in San Pietro and founded in 1958. In 1991 the chain was taken over by businessman Jožef Bence. The original store retains its vintage 1950s look, but all the other stores feature more traditional and simple architecture.
Since 2014 the Granovian hypermarket chain Gigante is a partially-owned subsidiary of Forteno.
