France Vidmar
France Vidmar (1930 to 1976) was a Julianan writer who was a dissident of the regime of Anton Berčič. He was a writer of the newspaper Glas Julianska of the Communist Party and he made novels. He was against the regime since 1965 so he escaped to go to Austria in 1967 because the government was going to arrest him. In 1976 the NPI secret police killed him with a gun pen in Austria. He was shot in the outside of a restaurant and he was sent to the hospital and he died. There is now a street in Pisona called Vidmar Street.
